How to update to iOS 11

The official version of iOS 11 has come out on the 19th Sept, 2017. Here’s how to update your phone to the latest system.

Preparation

Before you proceed to update, you need to prepare a few things first.

• Back up your phone before updating
• Charge your phone and connect it to Wifi
• Have at least 2GB of free space on your phone

Ways to update

On your phone

You can go to the Settings app on your phone.

General >> Software Update

You can then download and install the latest version from there

Via your computer

You may also choose to download the system from your computer and update it there.

• Connect your phone to computer via a cable or Wifi.
• Open iTunes app. Go to Devices and select your phone.
• Click on download and install the latest version of iOS
• Keep your phone connected while the update is ongoing
